Thread: White
Tail: Blended Buck tail 20 hairs Blend Dark blue, fire engine red, 15 lavender, light blue and few florescent green or bright yellow. over Eggplant or dark purple saddle hackle 4-6"
Pillow: soft part of hackle used as dubbing
Wing: the same blended buck tails longer
Body: Red body braid
Head: palmered soft pink hackle
Fly Tying Feature: MF Watch Hill
The idea for this fly came from several winters of tying With Ken and reading his books along with my own study of color and creativity. There nothing new here just a variation on things taught to me and a desire to make tying fun. Ken always talks about blending colors and in the baitfish slides you can see the are no absolutes. This leaves the boundaries wide open when you sit at the vise, you can be like a little kid with a new box of crayons. that is how the MF Watch hill came to be.
