Isle of Wight ferry operator Wightlink cancels two Portsmouth-bound sailings on the Fishbourne route
St Clare, the vehicle ferry serving Wightlink’s Fishbourne to Portsmouth line, experienced a technical issue onboard, leading to cancellations this morning. As a result, the 8:20 am departure from Portsmouth and the 9:20 am crossing from Fishbourne have been called off.
Wightlink announced that these cancellations are necessary so their engineers can diagnose and fix the problem, with safety as the top priority. The company says it is working to return the vessel to service as soon as it is safe to do so.
A spokesperson offered apologies for the disruption and any impact on travelers’ plans, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by these changes.
